Will Austin is a Seattle-based photographer specializing in editorial,
architectural, location and travel photography. He seeks to capture
the beauty and timelessness found in everyday moments.
A transplant from Colorado at age three, Will took
his first photography class in junior high and won his first photo
contest as a sophomore in high school. He graduated from Western Washington
University with a degree in Human Services, also studying industrial
design, metalsmithing and architecture. In 1992 Will picked up a camera
to document his artwork and found himself back on his original
artistic path.
Will's photographic journeys have taken him to Mexico, Brazil, India,
Europe, Korea, Canada and across the Western United States. His clients
include Northwest Airlines World Traveler Magazine, Seattle
Metropolitan Magazine and Northwest Home
and Garden, as well as numerous architects,
designers and builders (see client list).
Among Will’s favorite pastimes are going
on adventures with his wife and six year-old son, and uncovering
family lore about his cattle ranching, train-robbing ancestors.
He lives in South Seattle with his family.
Will is a member of ASMP.
